Clothes are the material covering our bodies.
There is working or business attire, sportswear, club wear, casual wear and many more. Clothes should protect you from environmental influences and serves as a communication medium. In first place, it should prevent frostbites and heat exhaustions. On the other side, there are harmful clothes – for instance those that catch fire, melt, and cause severe burns. Clothes can have a mental effect. Now we are into fashion. You know about the desire to attract attention, be recognized and awake interests. Let us be honest: Everyone strives for individuality and variety. With fashion, you express your individual lifestyle, your current mood, desires, dreams, and visions. Hence, your clothes are a communication medium, which embraces a large spectrum of signals: In sports, the jersey identifies you as a member of a team. In addition, in the military, the uniform shows your rank.

I just give you some general recommendations here. Afterwards, it is your turn.
Clothing Type: How are you wired mentally and physically?
Preferences: Which material, cuts, and colors do you like? Only wear clothes you feel good in. Others quickly recognize if you comfortable or not. Hence, get to know yourself first. Travel the country personality analysis. Clarity about you bears valuable insights about the best material, cuts, and colors of clothes.
Asthenic: Are you small or tall? Slim or big? Asthenic plays a key role for your sartorial choices. For instance: Big people generally do look better in dark-colored clothes with longitudinal stripes. Both make them visually slimmer. So learn which material, cut and colors are aligned to your asthenic.
Acquisition: Which clothes do you buy? How do you dress?
Demand: Primarily, clothes serve to satisfy your need for protection and temperature control. Your dress should always be aligned to weather conditions. Who wears shorts in deep winter? Especially the climate zone, season, time of day and current weather are influential. Secondary, it is about adherence to social rules to cover parts of your body, like sexual characteristics. You want to consider this as well. Tertiary, your demand for clothes is derived from your lifestyle. How old are you? How much budget do you have available? In which social circles do you engage in? What is your job? Do you do sports? Your answers directly influence the type, quality, and quantity of your clothes.
Purchase: As soon as you know which clothing types, styles and pieces you need, three components become important: Material, cut and color. Focus on valence, clarity when buying clothes – even if you have a limited budget. In regards to the material, pay attention to quality and purpose: If you plan to purchase sportswear for instance, think functional wear. Considering cuts, fitting and comfort level are important: If you are buying business attire, it must not be too short, long, small, or large.
Appearance: Now, what do you wear when? How do you maintain your clothes?
Dress: Your appearance has to always match the surroundings. In other words: Neither underdressed nor overdressed. If in doubt, go slightly overdressed. Smartly selected accessories set accents and enhance your status visually. A classic watch, studs, a plain leather belt, a hat, or pochette. Often-good choices for men on festivities. Women focus on discreet high-quality jewelry and that their make-up is aligned to their dress.
Care: Be always well groomed from head to foot. The saying “shoes reveal a lot about their owner” is actually true. Be pedantic about the type and condition of your shoes. Shabby and untended shoes make people draw the conclusion that you are sloppy, disorganized, and not conscientious. Store all clothes in a clean, dry, and mots-free way.
Now it is your turn! Reflect and improve the way you dress.
In the first step, snapshot the current state. How important is fashion for you? In which way do you consider your own style? What do you pay attention to when buying clothes? How do you dress? How much time and effort do you invest in care? Use the Clothing Template.
The second step is about your target state. Briefly: Which place should fashion take in your life? Which clothes do you want to acquire, wear, and care in which way?
In the third step, define time-based actions, which help you to reach your target state. What do you want to do how and when?
Finally, hang in there.
Complete all actions. Check and validate the Clothing Template on an annual basis. Fashion has to represent your lifestyle. If you are a farmer, you will focus on functionality. As a real estate dealer, you dress more elegantly.

Many people underestimate or overestimate the fashion factor. “I do not care what others think” or “the inner values count”. If you are running the risk to rank clothing too low, remember the fact that you are what you wear.

“XYZ said that that I look really good in it” Yeah, right. Actually, you can replace XYZ by your partner, friend, or a sales clerk. Appreciate others’ opinions. Yet take a decision on your own.

Care Disaster
I am guilty as charged. Have shrinked many sweaters and grayed countless white shirts. Caring about clothes is important. Why? Well, you wear many of them every day, some every other day and others once a week.
